Free Bluegrass For The Entire Family
06/26/2008 08:20
They say the best things in life are free and
Henderson Kentucky's annual Bluegrass in the
Park Folklife Festival is about to prove
that trusted adage in a big way. August 8 - 9, the
Bluegrass, Blues & Barbecue Region will play host
to a number of top bands, on the grounds of
Henderson's beautiful Audubon Mill Park along the
banks of the Ohio river.
Festival goers will be treated to the talents of some of Bluegrass's brightest young stars, including the Steeldrivers and Blue Moon Rising, as well as perennial favorites such as Larry Cordle & Lonesome Standard Time and more.
In addition to great music, the festival will feature events and food, all in beautiful family friendly surroundings.
Some of the featured events at the festival include Kentucky Folklife exhibitors, Breakfast in the Park, children's activities, the Jammin' & Jumpin' Street Vault, Bluegrass Hat Tennis Tournament, Pickin’ & Pedalin’ Bicycle Tour, Made To Be Played: Traditional Art of Kentucky Luthiers exhibit and more. As always, the Bluegrass in the Park Folklife Festival is free.
