Michael Martin Murphey to Headline "Bluegrass Returns To Its Roots"

Probably best known for his #1 hit Wildfire, recording artist Michael Martin Murphey is slated to headline the 8th Annual Bluegrass Returns to Its Roots festival in Owensboro, KY. Murphey will perform on Friday night April 3rd and feature songs from his new release Buckaroo Bluegrass. The festival runs April 2-4.

This year the event has moved to the RiverPark Center, adjacent to the International Bluegrass Music Museum. Organizers have assembled an impressive lineup of many top acts in bluegrass, including:Dailey and Vincent (2008 winner of 6 IBMA awards), Dale Ann Bradley, Sierra Hull, J.D. Crowe and the New South, Michael Cleveland and Flamekeeper, Bradley Walker, Lonesome River Band, and the Josh Williams Band. More special guests and events will be announced.
